Raven, the manager, was very hospitality focused with all the guests, including us. Caleb, the bar tender, was amazing. The food was awesome, and the Happy Hour menu has lots of choices, even for vegetarians.
First time at Matador Charlotte and I had such a great experience! Our server JJ was seriously the best - super friendly, easy to talk to, and made me feel really comfortable right away. I’m not huge on tequila, but he recommended a skinny margarita, walked through all the syrup and rim options (which I loved) and talked up the menu so well. He mentioned they’re doing a little contest & honestly, he deserves that Yeti also side note… the music at the restaurant was so good, I found myself singing along more than once lolol JJ made my first visit a great one. I’ll definitely be back!
Excellent food, service and atmosphere! we went here for my husband‘s birthday dinner and loved it. Our server Lauren was so great and brought out a surprise birthday dessert for him, which was also delicious. I’m gluten free and there were a ton of options & every thing labeled which is always nice. The decor and atmosphere was very cozy and we loved how big the food portions were! Definitely get your moneys worth!
The Matador on South Blvd did not disappoint. The atmoaphere of this place is insanely cool. Wooden interior with metal finishing and a live fire at the bar. The music was on point to go along with it. Also dark enviorment and candles at the tables was nice. Started with Chips and Salsa. Salsa had a great smoky flavor that I haven't had anywhere else. First batch of chips we got were stale but the second batch redeemed itself. I got a Chicken Verde Burrito Cali style so it had fries inside. This was incredibly messy but worth it all. Crema and Avocado really added a punch of flavor. The Matador Bowl with Chorrizo and pablano sauce. This was great with the chorizo tasting very unique and much more hearty than typical chorizo. Packed with flavor and textures. Only downside was the large amount of black beans.
Went to dinner for my Birthday. Alex was the bartender and she was amazing! Recommended the “Bartenders Margarita” I LOVED IT. Food was excellent, fresh made chips with delicious salsa to accompany them. I had the habanero steak burrito after Alex recommended it due to me wanting a dish with a decent amount of heat and spice. It did not disappoint! Everything was wonderful; the atmosphere, staff were very friendly and they even sang Happy Birthday. Will definitely return.
Today was our first time coming to Matador! It was an amazing experience, Jordan was our waiter and he was the best with exceptional customer service! He was on top of it the whole time, had great recommendations. We will be coming back for the delicious food but also for Jordan!
First time here. Had a great experience for lunch/ dinner. The atmosphere was very unique, and the indoor fireplace at the bar was much appreciated. The service was friendly and informative. Large tequila selection. Price was responsible for the area.
Everything was AMAZING! The ambiance is top-tier! We sat at the bar, and our server was great and knowledgeable. All of the food we ordered was fantastic. I am so looking forward to my next visit!
